While carving his path in law, Carel embarked on a remarkable journey in the dynamic world of finance. He honed his skills at ABSA Bank, navigating the intricacies of credit risk before venturing into the realm of investments, insurance, and brokerage whilst pursuing his studies in law. He graduated with an LLB degree from the esteemed University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his Articles of Clerkship at a boutique law firm in Houghton Johannesburg, where he focused on Banking, Insolvency law and Litigation for major local and international financial and banking institutions. 

He later ventured into commercial property, serving as both Legal Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager for several JSE listed Landlord property investment companies (REIT). He gained comprehensive experience in industrial, commercial, and retail property operations. From location scouting and feasibility studies to tenant sourcing, financing, leasing, construction, and final tenant placement and all aspects of legal work related thereto. Carel mastered the entire property life cycle. His dedication garnered him multiple awards, a testament to his leadership and impact on various property portfolios.

Seeking a new perspective, he shifted gears, joining a global retail giant as their Commercial Executive for Divisional Property Development and Division Legal Advisor. His talent was swiftly recognized, leading to his promotion to Group Legal Advisor at the company's Group Head Office. In this pivotal role, he orchestrated the legal aspects of group-wide real estate and new developments at a South African and Africa continent wide basis. His repertoire continued to expand, encompassing Group Compliance, Financial Services, Value Added Services, Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, and even Group Treasury legalities. However, the yearning to create something anew, to sculpt possibilities from scratch, beckoned him back to private legal practice. As an admitted attorney and registered with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa, Carel embodies the very essence of credibility and consistency - the only currency when it comes to business engagements. He fosters a secure, efficient environment for deals to flourish, safeguarding precious time and resources. His tale is a testament to unwavering dedication, constant growth, and the pursuit of excellence in every endeavour.
